About our festival

Cupar Arts Festival is a biannual festival of visual art which uses indoor and outdoor sites across the town to present artworks by invited artists from all over Scotland and beyond. Alongside a programme of indoor shows, temporary public artworks, performances and interventions, Cupar Arts Festival also runs a programme of events, workshops and artist talks.


Cupar Arts Festival makes use of some more unusual spaces across the town, highlighting unknown or hidden locations. Programming the very best in contemporay visual art the festival attracts visitors from a local, national and international base to the festival to experience new work from both emerging and established artists.


Previously participating artists have included Will Maclean, Marian Leven, Dalziel and Scullion, Richard Demarco, Chad McCail and Kate Downie.
